Andrea C. Schickling (R) has officially announced her intention to run for the Clearfield County Treasurer position. She is seeking the support of voters in the May 19, Municipal Primary Election.
Schickling graduated from the Clearfield Area High School and earned her Bachelor’s degree in business administration from Lock Haven University. She is the administrative assistant for one of the largest accounting firms in Clearfield at Catalano, Case, Catalano and Clark-Radzieta LLP.
She believes the skills she has acquired during her years of experience in the community will guide her as Clearfield County’s next treasurer.
“A county treasurer touches so many people’s lives, including those who hunt, fish, own a dog or serve in a charitable organization operating small games of chance,” Schickling said. “I think it’s important for the treasurer to reach out to constituents and be as available and helpful as possible.”
As part of her campaign, Schickling wants to be accessible to voters. She invites them to contact her through e-mail or her Facebook page.
“It is important to me that our communities are aware of what services the County Treasurer’s office provides. With new regulations covering hunting and fishing licenses, pistol permits, small games of chance licenses and dog licenses, I will work hard to stay fully apprised of the new regulations and make these services convenient and efficient as possible to our residents, businesses and civic organizations in Clearfield County,” Schickling said.
Schickling is a Clearfield County resident. She is the daughter of John and Colleen Rumery of Clearfield. She is married to Todd Schickling and they have three children. She is a member of BPOE Elks 540 and the American Legion Post 6 Auxiliary.
“I truly enjoy meeting new people, working with the public, working as a team and helping to make a difference,” said Schickling.
