William H. Maines, 79, of Philipsburg died Friday, March 20, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Mr. Maines was born Aug. 8, 1935 in Shiloh, the son of the late Cyrus and Mildred Maude (Maines) Maines.
He was a woodsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and walking.
Mr. Maines is survived by wife of 54 years, Gloria Maines, whom he married Nov. 21, 1960 in Philipsburg.
He is survived by his son, Mike Maines of Philipsburg and his daughters, Mona Maines, Brenda Williams and her husband, Christopher and Beverly Olson and her companion, Foster Philips Jr., all of West Decatur; and Cindy Vasquez and Margaret Vaughn and her husband, Harold, both of Philipsburg.
Mr. Maines is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one brother; seven sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two daughters; one son; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; three sisters; and two sons-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield, with Pastor Timothy Miller officiating. Burial will be at Centre Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. Thursday until the time of service at the funeral home.
