DUBOIS – Students from DuBois Business College (DBC) visited KMA Remarketing recently to learn how its efforts fit into both the local community and nationally and how the programs DBC offers can be applied to the local business workforce.
KMA Remarketing purchases old medical equipment from hospitals and offices across the country and reconditions it for use by hospitals and medical offices locally and nationwide.
The reconditioned equipment can be significantly less expensive to purchase by a medical facility, allowing facilities to purchase equipment of a more critical nature in the health care environment.
KMA holds licensing agreements in almost every state to purchase old medical equipment. The students were told the history of KMA and advances that have been made over the years.
The group was taken on a tour of both KMA’s warehouses. They had a chance to see the paint booth and the staging area for all of the refurbished equipment.
The DBC students saw first-hand how the skills they are learning in the classroom can be applied to a possible job or position once they graduate from DBC.
