CLEARFIELD – After a public hearing, the Lawrence Township Supervisors approved a zoning conditional use for timbering in a Residential Agriculture District on property owned by Chris and Beth Shaffer on Old Penfield Road. The access road to the property is U.S. Route 322.
Code Enforcement Officer Debra Finkbeiner would like to remind property owners with sewer violations that repair work must be completed, as the deadline has past and additional fines may be incurred.
The supervisors approved the road crew request to go to a four, 10-hour days work schedule for the summer.
Roadmaster Ron Woodling requested permission to explore the possible purchase of a used grader for sale at $60,000. The supervisors approved for Woodling to prepare a bid sheet for the grader.
Woodling reported the new medium duty Peterbilt truck through Walsh Equipment will be delivered in the next week or two. He added that the new plow blade ordered was upgraded and will be two to three months until delivery.
Township Secretary Barb Shaffner reported a public hearing is scheduled by Clearfield County for April 7 at 6:30 p.m. for the Community Development Block Grant program.
The supervisors approved to pay bills, totaling $125,380.44
The supervisors adjourned to an executive session to discuss two personnel issues with no action to follow.
