DUBOIS – Headwaters Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) Council has announced a recent donation of $2,500 from EQT to go towards enhancement of the area’s natural resources.
EQT has a continuing partnership with Headwaters RC&D, and shares a committed interest in the area and its communities. In operation for more than 125 years, EQT is one of the country’s largest natural gas producers in the Appalachian basin.
EQT is committed to meeting the growing demand for clean energy, while continuing to promote safety, provide a rewarding workplace and enrich the communities where its employees live and work.
For the third year in a row, EQT has been named a Top Workplace by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Workplace Dynamics. The company remains committed to operating in a manner that protects the environment, often exceeding federal, state and local regulations that govern air emissions, wastewater discharges, and mitigation practices.
“At EQT, we share Headwaters’ philosophy of protecting and enhancing natural and cultural resources in north central Pennsylvania through our commitment to environmental stewardship,” said Stephanie Paluda, an EQT community advisor.
“EQT uses the safest, most reliable methods for producing, transporting and delivering clean-burning natural gas, and these efforts contribute to EQT’s long-standing reputation as a responsible operator. We respect the land, water and air near our operating areas and are proud to support organizations like Headwaters, which does the same.”
