Margaretta L. ‘Peggy’ Anderson, 81, of Curwensville died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015 at her home.
She was born April 12, 1933 in Big Run, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Margaretta (Shankle) Mullins.
Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker who enjoyed raising her family, spending time with children and grandchildren and doing embroidery work. She was a member of the Hepburnia United Methodist Church.
She is survived by eight children, Andrew Steven Anderson and his wife, Beatrice of Walltown, Roger Lee Anderson and his wife, Vicki of Maryland, David Allen Anderson and his wife, Terry of Pittsburgh, Edward Dean Anderson and his wife, Janet of Mahaffey, Jack Wayne Anderson and his wife, Rhoda, Darrell Glenn Anderson and his wife, Amelia and Timothy Lee Anderson and his wife, Cathy, all of Curwensville, and Tina Hutton of Grampian.
She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; eight brothers, Rodney Mullins of DuBois, Albert ‘Pooch’ Mullins of Curwensville, the Rev. William Mullins of Northern Cambria, Cleon ‘Sonny’ Mullins, Merlin Mullins and Byron Mullins, all of Grampian, James Mullins of Syracuse, Utah and Richard Mullins of Ogden, Utah; and four sisters, Edna Nelen of Grampian, Pat Conner of Youngsville, Ada Hutton of Ansonville and June Bennett of New Kent, Va.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew C. Anderson, on Oct. 10, 2001 and whom she wed July 12, 1952 in Clearfield.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Grampian Church of God with Pastor Leslie Bloom officiating. Burial will follow in the Friends Cemetery, Grampian.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville, and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
