State police at Clearfield
- An incident of theft occurred sometime Friday or Saturday in Coalport Borough. Further, the victim told state police that he’d discovered his medication was missing.
- The investigation is continuing into an Act 64 traffic stop that occurred Friday on Route 322 near Walker Lumber in Bradford Township. At the time, a state trooper was stationary for purposes of radar; he subsequently pulled over a BMW, which displayed an unauthorized license plate that was to be on a Honda. State police also alleged that the vehicle was not only unregistered, but also uninsured. A search of the vehicle allegedly turned up marijuana, state police said, also noting that the front passenger was wanted with full extradition.
- A hit-and-run accident occurred Monday on Interstate 80 eastbound in Lawrence Township. Further, a truck tractor operated by a 28-year-old Brooklyn, NY man crossed over the fog line and collided with a utility trailer parked along the eastern shoulder due to a previous accident. The man failed to stop at the scene and continued east on I-80 for approximately 43 miles; he lost pipes from his flat-bed trailer unit, state police said. Troopers at Rockview stopped the truck tractor in Centre County and retained information from the man, which was provided to troopers at Clearfield. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- An incident of DUI occurred on Route 53 north of Chestnut Street in Coalport Borough. During the incident, state police stopped a 57-year-old Glasgow man for a traffic violation and allegedly determined he was under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently arrested and transported for chemical testing. DUI and related charges were filed through the district court, state police said.
State police at DuBois
- On Thursday, a 42-year-old Brooklyn, NY man was stopped for an alleged traffic violation on Interstate 80 eastbound in Washington Township. He was also allegedly found in possession of a small amount of suspected marijuana, state police said. He was placed under arrest for possession and suspected DUI.
- An incident of simple assault occurred Sunday on Sykes Street in Sykesville Borough. During the incident, a 26-year-old Sykesville man allegedly pulled the victim by her hair and struck her on the head, face and legs. He was subsequently taken into custody and lodged at the Jefferson County Jail, state police said.
- An accident occurred Sunday on Main Street in Falls Creek Borough. Further, a vehicle operated by Thurston L. Mooney of Falls Creek was following another operated by Bryon L. Harry, also of Falls Creek. Harry slowed his vehicle to turn off of Main Street and into a driveway. However, Mooney failed to slow and swerved off the north side of the roadway and impacted a utility pole, a mailbox and the Harry vehicle.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of theft/fraud occurred between Dec. 30, 2014 and Friday in Decatur Township. During the incident, someone allegedly used the victim’s identity to open a Verizon account. The incident remains under investigation at this time, state police said.
- A DUI accident occurred Saturday on Route 350 just north of Dale Road in Rush Township. Further, a 26-year-old Sandy Ridge man was traveling when his vehicle exited the east berm for unknown reasons. His vehicle subsequently impacted a large tree, which brought it to a final rest. Charges are currently pending at this time, state police said.
State police at Ridgway
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Saturday in the Wal-Mart parking lot in Fox Township. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged the right, passenger’s side mirror on the victim’s vehicle and then fled the scene. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Ridgway at 814-776-6136.
- A dog law violation occurred Saturday on Grant Road in Ridgway Township. Further, a Ridgway man allegedly didn’t keep his dogs on his premises to the point that they wouldn’t allow the victim to leave his residence. Charges were filed through the district court, state police said.
- An incident of DUI occurred Saturday on North Broad Street in Ridgway Borough. During the incident, a known male was allegedly observed committing numerous traffic violations and determined to be under the influence of alcohol. Charges are currently pending blood test results, state police said.
Clearfield Borough
- Police responded to a burglar alarm at a local business along East Market Street. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
- Police were flagged down by a patron outside of a South Third Street establishment. The female wanted to report an alleged incident of harassment by a male patron. Police made contact with the male who was warned that charges would be filed if he continued his actions.
- Police were dispatched to a flue fire at a residence along Clearfield Street. Further, a resident was able to keep the fire from spreading until police and fire personnel arrived at the scene.
- Police were called to the 400 block of East Cherry Street for a female who was allegedly lying face down in the snow. Police responded and found the female had walked off. Police later located the female at a friend’s residence.
- Police were dispatched to South Fifth Street to check the welfare of a female who had left the residence and not returned. Police were then advised that the female returned to the residence.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of Park Avenue and South Fourth Street. There weren’t any injuries and both vehicles were driven from the scene, police said.
- Police unlocked a vehicle along Dorey Street for its owner.
- Police were dispatched to Bigler Avenue for a report about a vehicle being operated with an expired registration. Police responded to the area and were unable to locate the vehicle.
- Police responded to Nichols Street for a landlord/tenant issue. Police advised that the issue was civil in nature and criminal actions hadn’t taken place.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute between a male and female on Williams Street. Police made contact with the parties who stated that it was verbal in nature and didn’t involve any physical contact.
- Police responded to Nichols Street to assist the fire department with a person who was stuck in an elevator.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of South Second Street and Park Avenue. Further, the operator of one vehicle stopped and the one behind it failed to do so, striking it. One vehicle had to be towed from the scene; no injuries were reported, police said.
- Police arrested a female for a protection from abuse order violation after she allegedly entered the victim’s place of employment. She is not permitted to do, police said.
- Police arrested a male after an alleged domestic assault that occurred along Spruce Street. The male was transported to the Clearfield County Jail.
- Police served a warrant on a male during a vehicle accident investigation.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a minor accident on Graham Street in Hyde.
- Police received a report about a bicycle that was found in Hyde.
- Police received a report about a 911 hang-up at a local bank on the Clearfield – Curwensville Highway.
- Police received a report about a 911 hang-up call at the Lawrence Park Villages.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment/terroristic threats.
- Police received a report about an alleged theft incident at a business on Woodland Road.
- Police received a report about an alleged drug violation at the Clearfield Mall.
- Police were requested to assist a motorist on South Second Street.
- Police were requested to assist a male who was stranded at the Sapp Bros. Truck Stop.
- Police assisted emergency personnel at a Leonard Street facility.
- Police received a report about a disabled vehicle. Its owner advised police they would remove it from its location.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct at a local business.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of fraud.
- Police received a report about an alleged scam. Residents are urged not to provide their personal information to unverified persons.
- Police received a report about a two-vehicle accident in the area of Washington Avenue and Fullerton Street.

- Police received a report about a vehicle stuck on Rockton Mountain due to roadway conditions.

Sandy Township
- On Friday, a 29-year-old employee of the Blinker Sheetz set a $60 pair of sunglasses down and when he went to get them, they were gone. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- A 24-year-old Circle Road woman alleged that while in the parking lot of Big Lots on Friday, a 42-year-old DuBois woman attempted to hit her with her vehicle. Further, she alleged that the woman then got out of the vehicle and began yelling and screaming at her. The suspect had been gone for a while prior to police being called to the scene.
- Police received a report about a false alarm Friday at Clyde Ferraro and Company.
- Treasure Lake Security reported receiving a report about an alleged domestic disturbance Saturday at a Portsmouth Road residence. A 56-year-old woman and her 49-year-old boyfriend got into a verbal argument, and both were leaving the residence upon police arrival.
- Police received a report about a man slumped over the wheel of his truck Saturday in the Sheetz parking lot. Upon arrival and in speaking with the man, it was suspected that he had been drinking. While he was being checked by emergency personnel, police said the man admitted to drinking, and he was transported to Penn Highlands where he was given a legal blood draw. Charges are currently pending, police said.
- A 62-year-old South Main Street man reported that someone plowed snow into his yard Saturday, causing damage to reflectors and rose bushes.
- While backing into a parking space at Pilot on Saturday, a truck hit another tractor-trailer and caused minor damage.
- A 35-year-old DuBois man was pulled over for a traffic violation Sunday and while speaking with the man, it was suspected he had been drinking. After failing field sobriety testing, he was transported to Penn Highlands for a legal blood draw. Charges are currently pending, police said.
- A 21-year-old Treasure Lake man lost control of his vehicle Sunday on Coral Reef Road, causing it to overturn and come to rest on its wheels. The vehicle was towed from the scene and the man refused medical treatment, police said.
- A 52-year-old Punxsutawney man was unable to stop in time to avoid hitting a vehicle driven by a 19-year-old Reynoldsville man who was stopped for traffic on Sykes Street Extension on Sunday. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene, police said.
- On Sunday, an employee of Eat ‘N Park reported that the operator of a white Dodge pick-up truck with a cap backed out of a parking space and hit his vehicle on the passenger’s side. He told police the operator then left the scene.
