State police at Clearfield
- A 14-year-old Altoona boy was allegedly found to be in possession of suspected marijuana at The Meadows in Chester Hill Borough on Tuesday. Charges have been filed through Clearfield County Juvenile Probation, state police said.
State police at Philipsburg
- A protection from abuse order violation occurred Feb. 19 in the 100 block of Ernestville Road in Rush Township. During the incident, a known actor allegedly broke into the victim’s residence; the victim, state police, had a PFA on the actor.
- An incident of burglary occurred Feb. 19 in the 100 block of Ernestville Road in Rush Township. During the incident, a known actor allegedly broke into his girlfriend’s residence and damaged personal property.
- An accident occurred Monday on the Port Matilda Highway in Rush Township. Emily Miller of Curwensville was traveling west and upon rounding a right-hand curve, her vehicle approached a string of other vehicles that were stopped or almost stopped on the roadway. Miller failed to bring her vehicle to a stop and it rear-ended another operated by Kyle Watro of Snow Shoe. Miller’s vehicle was towed from the scene; she was cited for the accident, state police said.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct in the Hillsdale area. Upon arrival police checked the area but were unable to locate the disturbance.
- Police received a request to check the welfare of an individual.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident at Wal-Mart. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police responded to an alarm at a local business. Upon arrival police made contact with the store manager who advised everything was OK.
Sandy Township
- A vehicle driven by a 48-year-old Falls Creek man was forced to back up while waiting to exit Wal-Mart on Monday, when a tractor-trailer attempted to turn into the parking lot, and hit a vehicle behind him. Minor damage and no injuries were reported, police said.
- Employees of the Wine and Spirits store and Dollar General both reported receiving counterfeit $100 bills from two African-American males. One male was younger-looking, wearing a gray beanie hat with a white do-rag under it and a dark coat; the other male is described as being older with salt and pepper hair, wearing a gray camo jacket and jeans, police said. Police are urging area businesses to be vigilant in watching for counterfeit $100 bills. If you receive one of these bills, please call police immediately.
- Police received a report about two suspicious males in the area of CVS Pharmacy on Tuesday. They were allegedly asking people for money. The men were gone upon police arrival.
