State police at Clearfield

• An accident occurred Saturday on Interstate 80 westbound in Cooper Township. Michael J. Williams of Wallaceton and Patricia C. Friedline of Snow Shoe were traveling when Friedline tried to turn her International Harvester into a crossover. Her International Harvester was subsequently struck by Williams’ Chevrolet Silverado. Both Williams and Friedline were wearing their seatbelts; no injuries were reported as a result of the accident, state police said.

State police at DuBois

• An accident occurred Saturday on Interstate 80 westbound in Sandy Township. Further, a DuBois boy was traveling in the right-hand lane when he lost control of his vehicle. It started to rotate counterclockwise and traveled across the centerline and the left-hand lane and shoulder; there, it impacted with a concrete bridge rail. Upon impact the boy’s vehicle continued traveling westbound while rotating counterclockwise and impacted the bridge rail with its rear. Upon the second impact, the vehicle continued westbound and came to a rest on the left shoulder. Neither the boy nor his passenger was injured; both were wearing their seatbelts. The boy was cited for the accident, state police said.
• An incident of harassment occurred Saturday on Interstate 80 westbound at the mile-marker 88 rest area in Washington Township. During the incident, two known males allegedly engaged in a verbal argument over the parking of a tractor-trailer, which escalated into a physical dispute.

Clearfield Borough

• Police would like to warn residents about an alleged scam. Further, police said that residents have received phone calls from males who claim to be from Microsoft and who try to gain access to their computer. Police have determined that this is fraudulent and they use the computer access to acquire personal information.
• Police received a report about glass on the roadway along North Third Street. Further, police found that a truck had hauled items in the area and after items had fallen from it, glass shattered on the roadway. The Clearfield Fire Department assisted with removing the glass from the roadway.
• Police received a report about a disabled vehicle along Bridge Street.
• Police received a report about medication being removed from an apartment along East Cherry Street.
• Police handled an alleged incident of harassment at a Cemetery Road address.
• Police received a report about damage being done to a garage at a residence along North Second Street. Further, police said that someone allegedly struck the garage with a vehicle, causing damage.
• Police assisted the fire department with a reported fire at a residence along Turnpike Avenue.
• Police were dispatched to a fire alarm along Nichols Street. Upon arrival police and fire personnel determined it was a false alarm.
• Police responded to a West Market Street address to check the welfare of a male who had threatened to harm himself.
• Police were dispatched to Nichols Street to check on an elderly male who appeared to be confused and walking like he was lost. Police searched the area but were unable to locate the male.
• Police were dispatched to Spruce Street for a report about snow being plowed onto the roadway. Upon arrival police were unable to locate the violation.
• Police were contacted about disposing a large amount of unused medication.
• Police responded to an alleged verbal domestic dispute at an East Locust Street residence. All parties were warned for their actions, police said.
• Police were dispatched to West Front Street for an unknown actor who was allegedly attempting to break into the caller’s residence. It was then reported that the actor had smashed the rear door window and yelled the caller’s name. Upon arrival police allegedly heard glass breaking and located an intoxicated female at the rear of the residence. The female was taken into custody and housed at the jail for public intoxication. Charges were also filed on the female, police said.

Lawrence Township

• Police received a report about a burglary alarm on Deacon Road.
• Police received a request to check the welfare of two young children in the parking lot of the Label Shopper.
• Police received a report about suspicious activity at the Riverside Motel.
• Police received a traffic complaint that occurred on Route 879.
• Police received a report about an alleged phone scam regarding a medical procedure. Police would like to remind residents not to provide any personal information to unknown callers.
• Police received a noise complaint at the Lawrence Park Village Apartments. The incident was handled at the scene, police said.
• Police received a report about a psychological emergency in the area of Smith Street.
• Police assisted the state police and other local police agencies with locating an individual who was having a psychological emergency.
• Police received a report about a motor vehicle accident in the area of Guinea Hill and Flegal Road. No injuries were reported and towing wasn’t required, police said.
• Police responded to a possible explosion on 21^st Further, police believe that a person(s) had fired upon exploding target at the composite site.
• Police received a report about an alarm at a business on Industrial Park Road. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.

Decatur Township

• Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident at the Peebles Plaza. It remains under investigation at this time, police said.
• Police received a report about a single-vehicle accident on Route 322. Upon arrival police found the operator had attempted to pull over along the right side of the roadway when she lost control of her vehicle. Her vehicle subsequently overturned onto its side. As a result; two females were transported to the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital for treatment, police said.
• Police received a report about the alleged theft of fuel at a local business. Further, police located the suspect who paid for the fuel.
• Police have enforced and cited individuals for traffic violations in the area. Police would like to remind individuals to obey all traffic laws.

Sandy Township

• On Friday, a 39-year-old Circle Road woman reported that a blue sports utility vehicle began following her and continued to her place of employment. When she left her vehicle, two females allegedly got out of the SUV and started yelling and harassing her. She did not know the females but said she had given a friend a ride to the Snappy’s Convenience Store earlier and one of the females had mentioned her friend’s name.
• Police received a report about a false alarm Friday at Big Lots.
• Treasure Lake Security reported a vehicle was stuck in the ditch along Coral Reef Road on Friday. Upon arrival police met with the operator who was uninjured. She said she was not sure how her vehicle had exited the roadway. Her vehicle was removed from the ditch, and the woman was transported to her residence.
• On Friday, a 32-year-old McClane Avenue resident traveled into the opposite lane while heading north on Route 255. Their vehicle subsequently hit another being driven south by a 73-year-old Spicher Road man. Severe damage and minor injuries were reported, police said.
• On Friday, a 66-year-old man reported receiving a message where the caller claimed to be from the IRS and that he was going to be sued if he did not provide them with certain information. The call was recognized as a scam, police said.
• On Friday, a vehicle driven by a 56-year-old Osceola Mills man drifted into the opposite lane of travel on DuBois Rockton Road. There, it hit another vehicle driven by a Clearfield man and then left the scene. The man was located down the road in a parking lot.  After failing field sobriety testing, he was taken to Penn Highlands for a legal blood draw; charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
• A 20-year-old Long Avenue man was traveling through the DuBois Mall parking lot near the Cinema when his vehicle slid on ice and hit two parked vehicles on Friday. No injuries and minor damage were reported, police said.
• Police received false alarms at Save A Lot on Friday.
• Police received a false alarm at a Treasure Lake residence on Friday.
• Police received a false alarm at Big Lots on Friday.
• A Harper Road resident reported a neighbor was playing loud music on Saturday. Upon arrival police could not hear any loud music but spoke to the tenant and asked him to make sure he kept his music down.
• On Saturday, a 25-year-old South Brady Street resident reported that there was an unknown male knocking on the doors and windows at her apartment building. The man was gone upon police arrival.
• A 23-year-old Sykesville man and an 18-year-old DuBois man were pulled over for traveling without headlights on Saturday. Upon speaking to the operator, it was allegedly discovered that the two had small amounts of marijuana and paraphernalia. Charges were filed as a result, police said.
• On Sunday, a Kilmer Road resident reported that an unknown motor vehicle struck the guide wire for a utility pole in front of their residence, causing damage. It remains under investigation at this time, police said.
• Police received a report about a false alarm at Hunting Titan on Sunday.
• On Sunday, a Hand Street resident reported that someone damaged the rear tire of her and her boyfriend’s vehicles that were parked in her driveway.
• On Sunday, a 25-year-old Ollie Lane woman reported that while she was gone from her residence, her boyfriend left and there were two pairs of boots and an iPod missing.
• Police were called to Pilot Travel Center Sunday to check the welfare of an operator of a tractor-trailer who had been parked there for approximately one week. Police were able to enter the vehicle but unable to locate its operator.
• A 32-year-old man reported Sunday that he was being harassed by a known man via text message and on Facebook. Police handled the situation without incident.
