CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Borough Council approved several items at its meeting last night.
Borough Operations Manager Leslie Stott acknowledged the following actions were taken at the short monthly meeting.
Council approved:
- To accept resignations of part-time police officer Steven Russo and of Howard Gallaher from the Street Department.
- To advertise for a full-time street department employee, and to advertise for openings on all borough boards and committees.
- To allow the carry-over of seven vacation days for Todd Kling of the Street Department.
- To reappoint Karen Miller and Larry Bickel to the Shade Tree Commission, to reappoint James Semelsberger to the Planning Commission and to reappoint Linda Lewis to the Zoning Hearing Board.
- To advertise for lawn care for the coming season.
- In accord with Lawrence Township Supervisors, approved the State Economy League to conduct the Early Intervention Grant study to explore the possible merger of Clearfield Borough and Lawrence Township under home rule, and approved the Early Intervention Grant Joint Committee of local representatives from the respective communities.
- To purchase a 1997 Ford F350 truck with a Versa lift boom from Tibbens Auto Body for $6,065 and trade of current bucket truck.
- To adopt the 2015 general fund and liquid fuels budget as advertised.
