A tense standoff is underway between Las Vegas police and a man connected to the killing of a woman outside her house after an apparent road rage incident last week, police said Thursday.
Tammy Meyers was shot outside her home on Thursday and died two days later at a hospital. Police would not say if the man involved in the standoff just one block away from the victim’s home was the gunman.
Larry Hadfield, a police spokesman said earlier: “The LVMPD is currently in the tactical phase of taking the suspect into custody in the Road Rage Homicide investigation.”
A distraught woman told CNN that it was her son in the house police tactical units surrounded. The woman said her son was threatening to harm himself.
The victim’s husband approached reporters who had gathered in the neighborhood.
“Are you all happy? You made my wife look like an animal … and my son. There’s the animal, a block away. Are you happy?” Robert Meyers screamed.
