Kathryn E. Couturiaux, 75, of Philipsburg died Friday, Feb. 13, 2015 at her residence.
Born March 15, 1939 in New Castle, Osceola Mills, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Sr. and Velma (Baughman) Good. She married Patrick E. Couturiaux on Oct. 27, 1956 in Cumberland, Md.; he survives at home.
She was Methodist by faith and at one time attended the New Castle Community Church. She was an active member of the Moshannon Valley Joint Sewer Authority, the Rush Township Planning Commission and the Rush Township Election Board.
Mrs. Couturiaux was very community-minded and donated a large amount of her time to public service. She was a homemaker, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Couturiaux was preceded in death by a son, Patrick T. Couturiaux; a granddaughter, Danielle Olivia Lewis; and three brothers, Alfred “Joe” Jr., Duane and Donald Good.
Along with her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Jacquie Lewis and her husband, Denny of Philipsburg and Suzette Brabham of Mount Airy, Md., and two sons, Duane Couturiaux and his wife, Amber of Munson and Vic Couturiaux and his wife, Theresa of Troy, RD Philipsburg.
She is survived by a brother, Robert Good of Brockway. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two aunts; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home in Philipsburg, with the Rev. Brenda K. Leigey officiating. Burial will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery in Philipsburg.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
