CLEARFIELD – The 73rd class of the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center’s (CCCTC) Practical Nursing Program graduated 13 students on Feb. 4.
Cathy Thomas, CCCTC assistant director, welcomed attendees to the event. Â Elsie Maurer, nursing program director introduced the Commencement speaker Patricia McKnight, nursing instructor of the CCCTC practical nursing program.
Diplomas were awarded by Thomas. Graduates were presented for graduation by Tonya Saggese, nursing instructor, and nursing pins were awarded by Cheryl Krieg, simulation laboratory instructor.
Academic awards were presented to two students with the highest grade point averages in the class: Kirsten Bruni and Brittany Billett. Bruni also was awarded membership in the National Technical Honor Society.
Alene Homan, nursing instructor, led the graduates in reciting the Practical Nursing Pledge. Bruni provided the farewell address.

The nursing program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing Inc. and Pennsylvania Department of Education and approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
