State police at DuBois
- On Thursday, a known male was allegedly found to be in possession of a plastic baggie containing a small amount of marijuana at the emergency room at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Charges are currently pending at this time, state police said.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of public drunkenness occurred Wednesday in the 300 block of North Second Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a 37-year-old Philipsburg man was allegedly found manifestly under the influence of alcohol. Charges will be filed through the district court, state police said.
- On Wednesday, a 15-year-old boy was allegedly found to be in possession of synthetic marijuana by school officials at the Philipsburg-Osceola High School. Charges are currently pending at this time, state police said.
State police at Ridgway
- An accident occurred Thursday on Route 948 in Jones Township. Robert L. Wrye of Madera was traveling north and downhill when his White/AutoCar began to slide on the roadway, causing it to jackknife. Wrye attempted to regain control with negative results. The AutoCar crossed into the southbound lane and impacted with a snow bank. Wrye will be charged with numerous summary traffic citations through the district court, state police said.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alleged theft that was deemed to be civil in nature.
- Police received a report about an alleged disturbance involving an unruly child at a business on the Clearfield – Shawville Highway. Upon arrival police said the child had become calm.
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of a watch. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged phone scam in which a caller claimed they were with Microsoft and gained access to the resident’s computer.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred at a local school. Further, students were allegedly placing unwanted notes in another student’s locker.
Sandy Township
- A truck driver who was parked at Pilot reported that another truck driver hit his while parking on Wednesday. Minor damage and no injuries were reported, police said.
- On Thursday, a 30-year-old Hanes Drive woman reported that when she went to get her taxes done, it was allegedly found that an unknown individual had already used her Social Security number to file.
- A vehicle driven by a 56-year-old Brockway man hit another driven by a 40-year-old Osceola Mills man while pulling out of the Perkins parking lot on Thursday. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene, police said.
- Police received several reports from local retail establishments about a pair of male individuals who were allegedly using counterfeit $100 bills to make small purchases. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- A vehicle driven by a 51-year-old Grampian man was traveling from the gas pump at Kwik Fill when a vehicle driven by a 78-year-old DuBois man backed into him on Thursday. No injuries and both vehicles were driven from the scene, police said.

- Police received a report about an alarm Thursday at Your Jewelry Box.
- A 26-year-old Edminston Road woman reported being shoved by her 27-year-old estranged boyfriend on Thursday. Police handled the situation without incident.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about an activated alarm Thursday at Mountain Research on McCracken Run Road. Upon arrival police found an employee had accidentally activated the alarm.
- Police assisted ambulance personnel with gaining access to a residence Thursday in the 300 block of East Scribner Avenue. Further, police were able to gain access through a rear door and located an elderly woman who was lying on the floor. Police said the woman was transported to the hospital due to medical issues.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic disturbance Friday in the first block of West Weber Avenue. Further, a mother and her son allegedly had a disagreement over property and discipline issues. Police assisted at the scene; however, there weren’t any arrests as a result of the incident.
Decatur Township
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute at a Houtzdale residence. Upon arrival police found that a male and female had engaged in a verbal dispute. The male, police said, decided to leave the residence.
- Police received a report about a two-vehicle accident with injuries in Decatur Township. It remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of theft by deception that occurred at a Decatur Township business. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police issued several citations in the patrolling areas of high calls for traffic complaints. Police have and will continue to enforce all traffic violations.
