State police at DuBois
- An incident of harassment occurred Jan. 21 on Wayne Road in Winslow Township. During the incident, an 18-year-old Reynoldsville woman and her guardian allegedly engaged in a verbal argument. Further, it allegedly resulted in the woman kicking her guardian in the stomach area, causing bruising. The woman was charged for the incident, state police said.
- An incident of DUI/disorderly conduct occurred Sunday on Sleepy Hollow Road in Winslow Township. While the victim was sitting in his truck in front of a residence, a DuBois man allegedly drove up in a reckless manner, causing alarm to the victim and his daughter. The man allegedly got out of his vehicle and started yelling and punched the victim’s truck with his fist. Upon investigation state police found the man was under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested for DUI. The man refused a blood test, state police said. Charges were filed for DUI, disorderly conduct, careless driving and reckless driving through the district court.
- Eric S. Hart has been charged with failure to register a new address after he left Just for Jesus Ministries on Jan. 18. Further, he failed to register a new address within three days as required by law.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a disabled vehicle on the Shawville – Croft Highway. PennDOT responded to assist the motorist.
- Police received a report about a disabled vehicle on the Route 879 on-ramp at the Clearfield Mall intersection. Police were cancelled while en route to the scene.
- Police received a report about a traffic complaint that occurred on Route 879.
- Police assisted a disabled motorist along the Route 322 and the on-ramp of the Clearfield Bypass.
- Police received a report about an alleged drug violation. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police would like to remind motorists to allow extra time to travel during winter weather. Also, motorists should travel at a safe distance from PennDOT crews, which are clearing the roadways. Residents, police said, should also check on elderly neighbors during the winter.
- Police received a report about an alleged burglary at the Edgewood Apartments. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged protection from abuse violation. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident at Sapp Bros. However, police said the accident occurred in Sandy Township. Both operators exchanged information, police said.
Curwensville Borough
- Police have several bicycles in storage that have been turned in over the last several months. Anyone who may have had a bicycle stolen is requested to contact police with a description. Police noted that the bicycles will be disposed of soon.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred at a State Street business. Further, a known male was allegedly harassing store employees.
- Police received a report about an alleged theft that occurred at the Dollar General Store.
- Police received a report about several juveniles who were allegedly being harassed in the area of Naulton Road. However, police were unable to locate the individuals who fled.
- Police received a report about several hundreds of dollars allegedly being removed from an Anderson Street residence.
Sandy Township
- On Friday, a 33-year-old West Weber Avenue woman reported that her 13-year-old son and a friend of his were shooting BB guns near a Loeb Avenue residence and the property owner yelled at them. Police handled the situation without incident.
- On Friday, a 17-year-old Winburne girl and an 18-year-old Karthaus woman were caught by Wal-Mart employees attempting to each take a cart load of items from the store without paying for them. Charges were filed on both girls, police said.
- A 21-year-old Brockway man reported that someone hit and damaged his vehicle while it was parked in the Wal-Mart lot on Friday.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at Stoltz on Saturday.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at Animal Health Services on Saturday.
- On Saturday, a Kilmer Road resident reported a 50-year-old neighbor damaged a wire fence on his daughter’s property. Police handled the situation without incident.
- On Saturday, a 32-year-old Hanes Drive resident reported that a known man was continually texting, calling and knocking on her door at all hours of the night.
- A 21-year-old Falls Creek man lost control of his vehicle Saturday on Wayne Road, causing it to leave the road and travel into a yard. It came to rest against a tree, police said.
- While responding to an accident on Wayne Road on Saturday, police came across a vehicle that had slid off the road into a snow bank. The vehicle was pulled out of the bank and no injuries were reported, police said. It was noted by police that a 44-year-old Reynoldsville woman was cited for not having insurance, an unregistered vehicle and driving too fast for conditions.
- A delivery driver for China One reported he delivered food to a Forest Avenue woman who refused to pay for it on Saturday. Police handled the situation without incident.
- While at an accident Saturday on Wayne Road, police cited a 21-year-old Reynoldsville man who almost caused another accident by driving too fast for conditions. The man was cited for an expired inspection, unregistered vehicle, unauthorized use of registration plate, no insurance and misuse of a registration plate, police said.
- On Saturday, police were called to the Falls Creek Sheetz for an alleged fight between two truck drivers. Upon arrival police located the men in the store and handled the verbal dispute without incident.
- On Saturday, a 44-year-old Thunderbird Road resident reported receiving a threatening call on her cell phone from an unknown male who was obviously disguising his voice, stating that he was coming for her and her family. Police contacted the phone number that the call came from and found out a 31-year-old Brockway woman owned the phone and her 9-year-old nephew had been prank calling people from the phone.
- Shop & Save employees reported two individuals loaded eight packs of wood that were for sale into their vehicle and then left without paying for it on Saturday. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about a false alarm Saturday at FedEx.
- A 48-year-old Treasure Lake man reported that his vehicle was hit and damaged by a cart in the Wal-Mart parking lot on Sunday.
- A 20-year-old DuBois woman reported that while she was at work Sunday, someone smashed out the windshield of her vehicle. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
