Adam L. Slabon, 36, of Winburne died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015 at the UPMC Altoona Hospital, Altoona.
Born April 24, 1978 in Tyrone, he was the son of John L. and Mary H. Musser Slabon.
Mr. Slabon was a 1997 graduate of the West Branch Area High School. He was a carpenter’s assistant.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and shooting. He was also a Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan.
He’s survived by a brother, Christopher J. Slabon and his wife, Pearl of Victorville, Calif.; two step-nephews, Shane and Adam Brownell; one niece, Ella Amelia Slabon of Victorville, Calif.; and three uncles, Don and Harry Slabon, both of Osceola Mills, and George Musser and his wife, Rita of Hawk Run.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Ronald Slabon; his cousin, Ronald Slabon Jr.; his aunt, Billie Musser Pierson; and his maternal grandparents, William and Elsie Musser; and his paternal grandparents, John L. and Amelia Slabon.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale, with the Pastor Matt Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in the Philipsburg Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.
