DUBOIS – At Monday night’s supervisors’ meeting, Zoning Officer James Keck’s year-end report showed some growth in Sandy Township.
According to the report, there was $14,926,861 in total construction, an increase of $6.9 million. There were 20 new homes constructed throughout the township, a slight decline from the 24 in 2013. Further, there were 12 new homes constructed in Treasure Lake, or the same as 2013.
In other business, Keck indicated that he will distribute notices explaining Sandy Township Ordinance 8-1999 and Clearfield County Resolution 98-14 to residents and businesses. The ordinance, he said, details address and property number display requirements to assist emergency services.
The Camp Mountain Road project has been completed, according to Township Engineer Perry Bowser. He said that the remaining $48,948.69 was transferred into the liquid fuels fund, and the final report will be filed with the state Department of Transportation later this week.
Township Manager Dave Monella will begin distributing delinquent notices to water and sewer customers, starting Tuesday. There will be 12-15 notices distributed in the first round. He also reported that a new grader was purchased for $137,500 after a trade-in.
The supervisors also welcomed John Hallowell as the new Sandy Township fire chief.
