Daniel W. Gaylor, 72, of Curwensville died Friday, Jan. 16, 2015 at his home.
Mr. Gaylor was born Aug. 10, 1942 in Clearfield, the son of Lewis J. and Zora M. (Knepp) Gaylor.
He worked as an electrical engineer and retired from Penelec.
Mr. Gaylor was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and served during the Vietnam era.
He was a life member of the Moose, Curwensville VFW, the Clearfield American Legion and the Clearfield Elks.
He is survived by his wife, Kandy S. (Mietus) Gaylor, whom he married June 12, 2014; a daughter, Wendy S. Gaylor-Davis and her husband, Jerry of Houtzdale; and a son, Wesley P. Gaylor and his wife Kristina of Wyncliffe.
He is also survived by a step-daughter, Kama Mietus of Franklin; a sister, Janet L. Stephens and her husband, William of Clearfield; and his beloved dog, Buddy.
Mr. Gaylor was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Ruth M. (Hisong) Gaylor, whom died Jan. 15, 2000.
Honoring Mr. Gaylor’s wishes, there will be no public visitation. A Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date. Burial will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Clearfield County SPCA, 275 21st St., Clearfield, PA 16830.
