DUBOIS – The Greater DuBois Chamber of Commerce has announced the recipients of the Community Cup and Small Business of the Year Awards.
The Community Cup award annually recognizes one business, civic group or non-profit organization, which has shown positive and effective performance in community service.
It highlights the entrepreneurial spirit of organizations that have taken responsibility for the community’s betterment, states a press release from DuBois Chamber officials. The Chamber will present this year’s award to Gasbarre Products.
To be considered for the Small Business of the Year award, the nominee business must be a member in good-standing of the Greater DuBois Chamber of Commerce and a locally-owned, privately-held company with no more than 50 full-time employees.
The nominee must also be able to show “Staying Power,” such as being in business (under current ownership) a minimum of three successive years, all of which have been profitable. The nominee business should also demonstrate involvement in professional, business and or trade associations.
Finally, the nominee should demonstrate its aid to the community through the use of personnel or financial resources, including examples of involvement, leadership and achievements in community affairs, stated DuBois Chamber officials. The Chamber will present this year’s award to Shannon’s Catering.
The Chamber will “celebrate these special businesses” during its Business Bash on Jan. 24 at the Lakeview Lodge. Please call for details at 814-371-5010.
