CLEARFIELD – Registration for the Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library’s 2015-winter story session will begin Tuesday. In Winter Wonderland, preschool-aged children will experience the magic of winter through stories, games, crafts and music.
The PA Forward initiative, launched by the Pennsylvania Library Association (PaLA) in 2012, supports the efforts of libraries across the state as leaders in community education. At least one of the five literacies of PA Forward will help guide discussions within the winter story session theme.
The six-week program begins Feb. 2. The Shaw Public Library is offering baby time, toddler time, and story time sessions to all area preschoolers ages 6 months through 5 years of age.
Baby time classes are open to children ages 6 months through 2 years of age on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Toddler time classes, for children ages 2 to 3 years of age, will follow on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:15 a.m. until 12 p.m.
On Tuesdays, there will be two story time classes, the first from 10:30 a.m. until 11: 30 a.m. and the second from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. for all 4 and 5 year olds. Parents and guardians may contact the library to register for any of the above programs.
