Margaret Jean Vogel, 74, of Clearfield died Monday, Jan. 12, 2015 at her home.
She was born Nov. 1, 1940 in Madera, a daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (McGlynn) Faust.
Mrs. Vogel was employed for more than 40 years as a registered nurse. She retired from the Clearfield Hospital.
She loved to crochet and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed caring for her dogs and breeding birds. She was a member of Christ the King Church, Houtzdale.
She is survived by three children, James Vogel Jr. and his wife, Terri of Madera, Edward Vogel and his wife, Terri of Grampian and Margaret ‘Peg’ Barnes and Scott of Clearfield.
She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Jason and Brandon Vogel, Patrick Barnes, Hannah and Andrew Vogel, Maddie Barnes, Natalie and Alea Vogel, Katie Barnes and Jordan Vogel and two brothers, William Faust and his wife, Jan of Madera and Gerald Faust his wife, Ro of Randolph, NJ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse, James P. Vogel Sr. on Sept. 15, 2014 and whom she wed Oct. 31, 1964 in Houtzdale, and a brother, Clyde Faust.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, with Father Brandon Kleckner as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Brisbin IOOF Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home.
A Christian Vigil service will be held at 3:45 p.m. and the Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Geller Liver Cancer Center of UPMC, 3459 Fifth Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
