State police at DuBois
- An accident occurred Monday on Oklahoma Salem Road west of Baker Road in Brady Township. Further, a 17-year-old Luthersburg girl was traveling north in the right-hand lane. Her vehicle’s rear started to slide and she was unable to maintain control of it. Her vehicle traveled onto the east berm and through a yard and hedges, where its driver’s side skimmed off of a tree and struck a residence. The girl was wearing her seatbelt; she wasn’t injured. She was cited for the accident, state police said.
- On Saturday, a set of keys and a lanyard were found on Interstate 80 westbound at mile-marker 88 in Washington Township. To claim the keys or to identify the owner, contact the state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of harassment occurred Saturday on North Second Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a known Philipsburg female allegedly contacted the victim and was obscene and vulgar for no apparent reason.
Clearfield Borough
- Police investigated a two-vehicle accident in the area of McBride Street and Turnpike Avenue. Further, the operator of a vehicle was traveling east on McBride Street and approaching the intersection with Turnpike Avenue. He attempted to stop; however his vehicle began sliding on the icy roadway. He was unable to stop and slid into the side of a school bus that was traveling south on Turnpike Avenue. There was minor damage to both vehicles; no injuries were reported, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic disturbance on Dorey Street. Upon investigation police found that a 22-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man had engaged in a verbal argument because she wanted to go for a walk. However, the man did not want her to because she was nine months pregnant and it was too cold outside.
- Police received a report about a suspicious man who was allegedly loitering near a closed business on South Second Street. Police searched the area but did not locate the man.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment by communications. Further, a 35-year-old woman told police she is receiving unwanted text messages from a 44-year-old man.
- Police received a parking complaint at the intersection of Barclay and Bowes streets. Further, the vehicle owner was ticketed for parking in a no parking zone.
