DUBOIS – The New Year will bring new workshops to the DuBois Business College (DBC).
A payroll workshop, which will include the new laws and payroll preparation, will be just one of the newly added workshops to be held at the DBC.
In addition, a workshop to teach you ” how to prepare a killer resume,” has been added, and will be taught by Carolyn Rhoades, head English instructor at DBC.
Dates and times will be announced soon for these new workshops. Debra Shannon, DBC workshop instructor/coordinator, receives calls on a weekly basis from residents of the tri-county area who request additional workshops, such as the payroll and resume preparation workshops to accommodate them.
Some people need a refresher course in a particular area, and others need a fresh start from the beginning.
Class sizes are limited; therefore, you are encouraged to enroll early, due to allotted space.
An Advanced Excel workshop is scheduled for March 7 at the main DuBois campus from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. The cost will be $150 per student and it will be taught by Brenda Heschke, a DBC Excel instructor.
QuickBooks is being offered on Feb. 7, at the DuBois campus, and again on Feb. 21 at the Philipsburg location. The cost will be $150 per student and will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at each location; the instructor will be Jim Sedgwick.
The DBC will continue to provide its most popular, “Basics for Beginner’s” workshop, as well as Microsoft Word, Beginner’s Excel, and Windows 8 workshops.
Also, it will offer training for corporate employees, as well at individuals of all ages throughout the year. If you have a special request, please don’t hesitate to bring it to the attention of the DBC. It may become the next “new workshop for 2015.”
