Johanna L. Gaeta, 68, of Newfoundland, Pa., and formerly of DuBois, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015 at her home.
Born Aug. 7, 1947 in Jamestown, NY, she was the daughter of the late Fredrick and LaMar (Johnson) Hickman.
She had recently retired from Cigna Health Care in Scranton. She was a former member of the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
She was a very devoted mother and grandmother. She loved to read and crochet.
She is survived by two children, Stephanie Zaring and her husband, Curt of Liverpool and Michael Gaeta of Tobyhanna.
She is also survived by a brother, John Hickman of Jamestown, NY and two sisters, Sandra Russell and LaMar “Piper” Antonnuccio and her husband, Chuck, both of Buffalo, NY and three grandchildren, Seth, Sara and Kyle Gould.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Shelia Gilligan and a niece, Lauren Antonnuccio.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in her hometown of Jamestown, NY.
Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Jamestown, NY.
