Raymond Theodore “Ted” Smay, 50, of Waynesboro died Sunday, Dec. 28. 2014.
Born Nov. 6, 1964 in Clearfield, he was the son of Clyde Sr. and Vera “Peg” (Stoy) Smay.
He had worked for various construction companies and most recently for Frederick Ceilings in Waynesboro as a dry wall installer.
He was a very hard worker and a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan. He also enjoyed his gardening.
He is survived by his father, Clyde Smay Sr. and his wife, Marcia of Clearfield and his step-father, William Stoy of Ashville.
He is survived by five brothers and sisters, Clyde Smay Jr. and his wife, Kimberly and Cindy Ireland and her husband, Tom, all of Curwensville, Kim Dimmick and her husband, Greg of Kerrmoor and Vonda Evans and her husband, Mike and Autumn Farley and her husband, Randy, all of Clearfield, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Vera “Peg” Stoy; a brother, Garland Smay; and a lifelong friend, Amy Russell.
A public memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville with Mr. Richard Smay officiating.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
