Robert N. Brothers, 82, of Madera died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2014 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.
Born Feb. 28, 1932 in Burnside Township, he was the son of Charles and Goldie (Rice) Brothers. He was married to Pearl (Hamm) Brothers, whom died July 13, 2008.
Mr. Brothers was an electrician for Harbison-Walker. He was affiliated with the Fruit Hill Presbyterian Church and the Fred R. Korman I.O.O.F. where he served as past noble grand.
He’s survived by a son, Dennis Shaw of Woodland; a grandson, Dennis Shaw Jr.; and several nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Barbara Bainey and Kathy Hamm and a great-niece, Amy Bainey Yarrison.
He’s also survived by brothers, Sam Brothers and his wife, Jane of Westover and Charles William Brothers and his wife, Nancy of Mifflintown and sisters, Dorothy Olson of Kansas and Mildred Hoffower of Emporium.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Brothers was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Tobias.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home, Irvona, with Pastor LeAnn Peters officiating. Burial will be in the Brisbin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday and from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
An I.O.O.F. memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
