Donald L. “Unc” Snedden, 80, of DuBois died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014 at his home.
Born Oct. 2, 1934, he was the son of the late Robert and Mabel (Yale) Snedden. He was a graduate of Sandy High School.
On Dec. 21, 1956, he married Dorthalene M. (Dunlap) Snedden. She preceded him in death on March 2, 2013.
He retired from the Pennsylvania State University DuBois campus in the Tech Service Department. Prior to that, he worked for the Osburn Foundry, Way Office Supply and DuBois Central Catholic High School.
He was a past member of the DuFast Transit Board and the Democratic Party Committee. He was a long-time member of the Gospel Center in Falls Creek. He was very active in the DuBois Nursing Home Auxiliary.
He enjoyed going to antique car shows with his 1930 Model A Ford. He loved to work in his yard and enjoyed joking and laughing with everyone. He was a loyal and avid Penn State fan.
He’s survived by his brother, Harry “Babe” Snedden of Washington State and a sister, Linda Radaker of Luthersburg.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, William, Kenneth and John “Jack” Snedden and a sister, Agnes Harris.
There will be no public visitation.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
