Scottish Police are warning pedestrians to avoid a central Glasgow square after a “very serious road incident” Monday.
A Glasgow police spokesperson told CNN the incident in George Square occurred just after 2:30 p.m. (9:30 a.m. ET) Monday.
The spokesperson would not comment on reports of fatalities or any possible motive at this time but said police were on the scene.
Police say diversions and road closures are in place. They have warned pedestrians to avoid the area.
