Jessie Ray Murray, 95, of Philipsburg died on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014 at Windy Hill Village in Philipsburg.
Born May 18, 1919 in Morris Township, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Edna (Crowell) Coble. Â Her husband, LeRoy Murray preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 1980.
She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Philipsburg. Â Mrs. Murray had been employed for 28 years at the Hallmark store in Philipsburg until retiring. Â She was a 1936 graduate of the Morris Township High School.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronald L. Aldstadt; two sisters, Isabelle and Peggy Coble; and three brothers, Sylvester Hubler, Earl Hubler and George Coble.
Mrs. Murray is survived by two sisters, Vivian Coble and Mabel Maines, both of Philipsburg; a grandson, Curtis A. Aldstadt and his wife. Janice of Westminster, Colo.; two great-granddaughters, Jessica Aldstadt and McKenzie Wood, both of Colorado; a daughter-in-law, Pamela Aldstadt Crawford of Somerset, NJ; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015 at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, Philipsburg, with the Rev. Clifford A. Johnston, nephew of Mrs. Murray officiating. Â Burial will be at the Allport Cemetery in Allport.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2015 at the funeral home.
