Police in the Australian state of Queensland say they are investigating “what appears to be a major incident” in the city of Cairns amid reports that multiple bodies have been found at a property there.
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) reported Friday that “several bodies” had been discovered at the property, without saying where it got the information.
“We are investigating what appears to be a major incident in a suburb called Manoora,” Brent Davidson, a spokesman for the Queensland Police Department, told CNN. “We do not have any more information as of yet.”
The ABC reported that emergency crews were on the scene.
