Obituary Notice: Bessie M. Cole

Bessie M. Cole, 98, of Philipsburg died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014 at Windy Hill Village in Philipsburg.

Born Feb. 23, 1916 in Madera (Belenia), she was the daughter of the late John and Ethel (Lockett) Moss.  She married Roderick Cole on Jan. 28, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio; he preceded her in death on March 9, 1956.

Mrs. Cole was of the Christian faith.

She retired from West Tech High School in Cleveland, Ohio, where she was the supervisor of maintenance.  And, she enjoyed gardening.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Elizabeth Brumbaugh, Virginia Moss, Maxine Moss, Florence Moss and Zennia Moss and four brothers, Harry, Walter, Paul and John Thomas Moss.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, with the Rev. Dr. Mary Jo Bruinooge officiating.  Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
