CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield school board approved maintaining Mary Anne Jackson as its president and Larry Putt as its vice president for 2015 during Wednesday night’s re-organizational meeting.
The board approved the law firm of Andrews & Beard as solicitor for next year. The solicitor’s fees will remain the same at $125 per hour for regular services and $155 per hour for specialized services, such as special education, negotiations, labor issues and litigation.
Andrews & Beard doesn’t require a retainer of the school district, noted Superintendent Terry Struble prior to the board’s vote.
The board approved its intent to extend or renew the contract of Business Administrator Sam Maney for a period of three to five years.
Also, the board approved its 2015 meeting schedule. Its committee meetings will be held Jan. 19, Feb. 16, March 16, April 20, May 18, June 15, Aug. 10, Sept. 21, Oct. 19 and Nov. 16.
Its board meetings will be held Jan. 26, Feb. 23, March 23, April 27, May 26, June 22, Sept. 28, Oct. 26 and Nov. 23.
The board will hold a combined committee and board meeting on July 20. Its 2015 re-organizational meeting will be held on Dec. 2.
All committee and board meetings will begin at 6 p.m. All meetings will be held in the library at the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School.
