CLEARFIELD – The Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library has announced that it will close Dec. 8 for replacement of the carpeting and will re-open Dec. 15. Library materials may be returned to the book drop.
In the spirit of continuous growth and improvement, several facility enhancement projects have been identified to sustain the library facility. The complete replacement of the worn carpet was identified as an immediate need. Not only will the replacement of the carpet modernize the general appearance of the library, it will also facilitate future interior layout changes to increase accessibility for today’s library user.
“We apologize for any inconvenience,” said Library Director Paula Collins. “The objective is to allow the time and space the installers will need to replace the flooring in the high traffic areas.”
During the closure, the library director reminds users to visit the Online Connections link available 24-hours-a-day via the library Web site at www.clearfield.org/shaw. It is an opportunity to borrow an e-Book, explore the many resources available through Power Library to or access the TumbleBooks Library.
