Rita Marie Ballute, 87, of DuBois died Friday, Nov. 28, 2014 at her home.
Born Feb. 4, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Ternay and Gertrude (Logue) Beck. On July 6, 1963, she married Joseph F. Ballute. He survives.
She began working at the JC Penney in DuBois in 1944 until her retirement in 1972.
She was a member of the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church. She was a past Girl Scout troop leader and a member of the former DuBois Women’s Club. She enjoyed sewing.
She is survived by her daughter, Julie Wolfe and her husband, Barry of Sarver; one brother, Thomas Beck of Fairfax, Va.; and six grandchildren, Holly, Laurel, Max, Kelly, Jordan and Sean Wolf.
She was preceded in death by her four brothers, Ternay, Joseph, Jake and Don Beck.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Monday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home. A scriptural wake service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery.
