Shaw identified the fugitive as Derrick Wayne Shuman, 28, of Locust Street, DuBois. Shuman is wanted for failure to appear at criminal call on Oct. 30.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on March 26, police were dispatched to a residence on Pifer Street, DuBois City, for alleged damage to a motor vehicle. Police found that Shuman had threatened to “knife” the victim, had spit on the victim’s car and had struck the victim several times. Additionally, Shuman had exposed his genitals to and yelled profanities at the victim.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for May 30, at which time all charges were held for court. On Oct. 30, Shuman failed to appear for criminal call and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
