CLEARFIELD – District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of Nov. 10.
Shaw identified the fugitive as Greg Albert Selner, 45, of Thompson Street, Curwensville. Selner is wanted for failure to appear at criminal call on Sept. 4.
On Jan. 14, Trooper Dennis Peters of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield barracks, filed a criminal complaint against Selner. He charged Selner with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Dec. 27, 2013, state police received a report about an alleged theft at a Thompson Street residence in Curwensville Borough. Upon investigation it was found that Selner had unlawfully opened several packages mailed to the victim and removed contents from them. It was also found that Selner had stolen a gift card valued at $100, a silver ring, glass charms and numerous coupons/promotional vouchers that belonged to the victim.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Feb. 26, at which time all charges were held for court. On Sept. 4, Selner failed to appear for criminal call and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Selner is described as a Caucasian male who stands 5 feet, 9 inches tall. He has green eyes and brown hair.
