Janet E. Morse, 80, a guest of Windy Hill Village of Presbyterian Home in Philipsburg and formerly of Smoke Run, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014 at the home.
Born Aug. 8, 1934 in Westover, she was the daughter of James Wagner Sr. and Gertrude Jones Wagner.
She was a member and choir director at the Grace United Methodist Church in Philipsburg. She was a member of the Eastern Star.
On Sept. 25, 1953, she married Albert Morse, whom preceded her in death on Dec. 26, 1989.
She’s survived by a daughter, Janice Britt and her husband, Michael of Burnham; a son, Daniel and his wife, Mary of Richmond, Va.; three grandchildren, Ryan Britt of Lebanon and Coty McGinnis and Danielle Morse of Richmond, Va.; and three great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are a brother, Dr. Robert Wagner and his wife, Marilyn of Coudersport; two sisters-in-law, Polly Ann Ardrako of Avon Lake, Ohio and Betty Wagner of Parma, Ohio; and an uncle, Edwin Phillips and his wife, Jean of Westover.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; a son, Dr. Joseph Morse; a sister, Catherine Jones; and two brothers, James Wagner and Dean Wagner.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 6 at the Grace United Methodist Church in Philipsburg with Pastors Mark Thumma, Clare Pannebaker and Wayne S. Sedei officiating.
Burial will be in Beulah Cemetery, Ramey
There will be no public visitation at Mrs. Morse’s request.
