State police at DuBois
- An accident occurred Sunday in the Dollar General parking lot in Winslow Township. Barbara J. Snyder of DuBois was parked at the store when Lisa N. Yount of Reynoldsville was backing out. Yount reportedly failed to see the Snyder vehicle and struck it.
- An accident occurred Sunday on Interstate 80 eastbound in Pine Creek Township. Christopher D. Pechtold of Warriors Mark was traveling in the right-hand lane when a deer ran out and struck the center front of his pick-up truck. Pechtold continued traveling eastbound before crossing the right fog line and coming to a rest on the shoulder.
- An incident of burglary, theft and criminal mischief occurred sometime Thursday or Friday on the Chestnut Grove Highway in Bloom Township. During the incident, someone allegedly gained entry into the victim’s residence and removed several household items and damaged an electric stove.
State police at Philipsburg
- A hit-and-run accident occurred Saturday on Lochlomond Road in Rush Township. Further, a blue Chevrolet, possibly an early 2000’s Cavalier, was traveling near Davis Street when it exited the roadway. It reportedly struck a 2011 red Chevrolet Silverado before continuing into a yard and damaging a flower garden. The suspect vehicle re-entered the roadway and continued north. State police believe there will be damage to the suspect vehicle in its 12 o’clock position, including its headlights. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
- On Oct. 17, a known New York male was traveling on Interstate 99 in Patton Township when he was stopped for speeding. Upon obtaining consent to search his vehicle, state police allegedly found synthetic marijuana and paraphernalia.
State police at Ridgway
- An incident of harassment occurred Oct. 21 along Boot Jack Road in Ridgway Township. During the incident, a known 58-year-old Ridgway man and the victim engaged in a verbal dispute. The man allegedly shoved the victim, state police said. It was noted by state police that the victim didn’t wish to seek prosecution.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alarm at a business on Airport Road.
- Police received a report about an alarm at a business on Washington Avenue.
- Police received a report about a traffic hazard involving a cyclist riding on the roadway during the early morning hours when it was still dark.
- Police received a report about an alarm at a local business.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct in Hillsdale.
- Police received a report about a civil dispute and the individuals involved were referred to the appropriate agencies.
- Police received a report about found property.
- Police were dispatched for an incident at the Wal-Mart Supercenter.
- Police received a report about a disabled vehicle on Route 879. The vehicle was towed to Sapp Bros. Truck Stop, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct at the Sid’s Six Pack Shop. One female was taken into custody and placed in jail, police said.
- Police received a report about a suspicious male in the area of South Second Street. Further, police located the male and placed him in jail.
- Police received a report about a suspicious person behind Rite Aid.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of an individual on Washington Avenue. The individual was transported to the hospital, police said.
- Police served a warrant during a traffic stop on Route 322.
Curwensville Borough
- Police were dispatched for unknown reasons to a Pine Street address. Upon arrival police found the caller was intoxicated and had warrants out for his arrest. Police subsequently took the male to the Clearfield County Jail.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct at a local bar. During the incident, a male allegedly spit in a female’s face. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- Police handled a noise complaint that occurred at a Ridge Avenue address.
- Police assisted Children, Youth & Family Services with gaining access to a Walnut Street residence. Caregivers were given instructions and another inspection will take place to evaluate living conditions, police said.
- A Curwensville man was allegedly found walking while under the influence of alcohol on Thursday on Naulton Road. The man, police said, was placed in the CCJ.
- Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle in the Arnoldtown area. Further, police indicated there had been thefts of wood in the area.
- Police assisted ambulance personnel Saturday at the Curwensville Commons.
- A Mahaffey female was arrested for an alleged incident of retail theft Friday at the Dollar General Store.
- Police assisted a Curwensville man who required an ambulance on Filbert Street.
DuBois City
- On Saturday, someone reported “excessive police presence” in the area of South State Street. Due to the Halloween holiday, additional police were on patrol to ensure the safety of children and to hand out candy. Police were unsuccessful in contacting the complainant.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident Saturday on Lakeview Drive. Further, a parked vehicle was struck and damaged sometime overnight. The accident, police said, remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact DuBois City police.
- On Saturday, police received a report about an individual who was allegedly intoxicated in the 200 block of South Main Street. The tenants of an apartment were allegedly evicted and left their intoxicated friend on the front steps. The individual, police said, was unresponsive, heavily under the influence of alcohol and or drugs and transported for medical treatment.
- Police received a report about a motor vehicle accident Saturday in the area of South Brady Street and West Long Avenue. No injuries were reported, police said.
- Police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Saturday on West Long Avenue. Further, someone had allegedly broken the windshield of a vehicle and then fled the scene. The male suspect returned to the scene while police were conducting an investigation and was taken into custody.
Sandy Township
- On Friday, volunteers of the Treasure Lake Fire Company reported that someone entered the fire hall and took more than $1,000 in cash and rummaged through several rooms. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- A 23-year-old Reynoldsville man lost control of his vehicle while traveling on a curved section of Wayne Road on Friday. His vehicle then traveled off the roadway before coming to a rest in a field. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was driven from the scene, police said.
- Police were called to a Kilmer Road apartment for an alleged domestic disturbance on Friday. Upon arrival police located the parties and found it was a verbal dispute. It was noted that police didn’t find any indication of a physical alteration and handled the situation without incident.
- On Friday, police received several reports about a 20-year-old DuBois woman who was allegedly in the Blinker Sheetz with a toddler and who appeared to be under the influence. The woman had allegedly been wandering around the store and left her toddler alone in various aisles. Upon arrival police found the woman to be incoherent and unable to answer questions. The woman was transported to Penn Highlands and the child was released to the female’s mother. Charges, police said, are currently pending at this time.
- A 47-year-old Falls Creek woman ran into a light pole Friday in the DuBois Mall parking lot. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.
- A false alarm occurred at Lowes on Friday.
- On Saturday, a 51-year-old Mahaffey man pulled onto Route 119 and into the path of a vehicle driven by a 21-year-old Limestone man. No injuries and moderate damage were reported, police said.
- A 40-year-old Treasure Lake man reported that he was driving a FedEx truck on Behringer Highway when a truck traveling west struck the mirror of his vehicle on Saturday. The vehicle then fled the scene, police said.
- A 16-year-old Treasure Lake girl lost control of her vehicle Saturday on Clear Run Road, causing it to go over an embankment and come to rest in a ditch. No injuries and moderate damage were reported, police said.
- A 48-year-old DuBois woman reported that while she was at the DuBois Mall on Saturday, someone took several prescription medications from her purse.
- On Sunday, a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Rockton boy pulled out of Industrial Drive at a steady red light and into the path of a vehicle driven by a 19-year-old Reynoldsville woman, causing the two to collide. No injuries and moderate damage were reported, police said.
- On Sunday, a Hanes Drive woman reported that someone entered her apartment and removed several prescription medications.
