Gary L. Chenchark, 62, of Smithmill died Monday, Oct. 27, 2014 at Smithmill.
He was born Aug. 8, 1952 in Philipsburg, a son of the late Douglas A. Chenchark and Edna J. (Hayward) Chenchark of Houtzdale. He was a 1970 graduate of the Moshannon Valley High School.
He was a parishioner of the Faith United Lutheran Church, Houtzdale. He also was a social member of the Janesville V.F.W. Post No. 6321.
In addition to his mother, he’s survived by a sister, Shelby K. Socie and her husband, William of Houtzdale; two nieces, Michelle Graham and her husband, Tyler of Beccaria and Kelly Johnson and her fiancé, Adam Anderson of Houtzdale; two great-nieces, Riley and MaKenna Chase; and a great-nephew, Devin Johnson. He’s also survived by numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father on Feb. 28, 2005.
Friends will be received from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Friday at the Kruise Funeral Home Inc., Ramey.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Susan H. Yatta officiating.
Burial will be in the Brisbin I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brisbin.
