CLEARFIELD – The 2014 Clearfield County Fair Queen Court, along with the Clearfield County Fair Queen Committee, will host an “all-you-can-eat” pancake and sausage breakfast on Nov. 15.
The breakfast will be held at the Expo 1 Building of the Clearfield County Fairgrounds. It will run from 6 a.m. – 11 a.m. Tickets will be sold at the door and the cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children who are 10 years and under.
Pancakes and sausage will be made by Joe Wriglesworth. Tickets for a Ladies Vera Bradley Raffle will also be available with the winner drawn at the conclusion of the breakfast. All proceeds from the breakfast and the raffle will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network and other local charities.
Since 2002, more than $133,000 has been raised and donated to the Children’s Miracle Network, with an additional $10,000 provided to other local charities through the Clearfield County Fair Queen’s “Queens for a Cause” project.
Members of the 2014 Clearfield County Fair Court, Queen – Chelsea Folmar of Luthersburg, First Runner-up Lyndsey Good of DuBois and Second Runner-up Abby Jamison of Luthersburg, will be raising money throughout their reign to donate next spring at the Children’s Miracle Network Telethon held at Delgrosso’s Amusement Park in Tipton.
“I would like to thank the community for their continued support of the Queens for a Cause program. As a court member for the past three years and now as the Clearfield County Fair Queen, it amazes me how caring our community is. This past year, I have had the chance to meet some of the Children’s Miracle Network Miracle Kids. After meeting them, as well as their families, it makes raising money for this great cause seem even more important,” stated Folmar.
