DUBOIS – On Monday night, Pennsafe Building Inspector Bill Kulbacki addressed the Sandy Township Supervisors regarding a dangerous/dilapidated building at 1865 Basse Terre, Treasure Lake.
Kulbacki related the situation to the supervisors, stating “…the property appears to be abandoned.” He further explained that, “…there are now holes through the roof and there are holes through the siding. Black mold is visible from the outside. I never went inside; these are all from exterior inspection…”
Kulbacki requested the supervisors authorize a public hearing on Nov. 17, so that the next steps could be taken towards cleaning up the property. The supervisors voted unanimously in favor. The hearing is set for advertisement, which would allow the property owner to address the council regarding the property.
During his report, Engineer Perry Bowser summarized a recently completed sanitary sewer survey on Sher-De-Lin Road. Bowser revealed that five of the 11 properties tested showed the potential to malfunction.

Work on the guiderail is anticipated to be completed by Nov. 15 of this year.
