Frances M. Holowecky, 92, of Osceola Mills died Friday, Oct. 17, 2014 at Penn Highlands in DuBois.
Born Feb. 3, 1922 in Houtzdale, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Julia (Oczcipka) Dombrosky.
She married Merle Holowecky on Oct. 5, 1941 in Ashville; he preceded her in death on July 11, 1990.
Mrs. Holowecky was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills. Â She was a homemaker and attended Houtzdale schools.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Robert and Eugene Holowecky; four sisters; and four brothers.
Mrs. Holowecky is survived by two daughters, Carol Stewart of Osceola Mills and Judith Kay Mealey and her husband, Gerald of Huntingdon; two grandchildren, Allen Holowecky and his wife, Beth of Naples, Fla. and Christine Bowen and her husband, Chad of Chester, Va.; two great-grandchildren, James Kirk and Mallory Bowen; and a daughter-in-law, Nancy Holowecky of Philipsburg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, with the Rev. Father Robert Horgas officiating.  Burial will be at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery in Ramey.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills.
The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
