Mary E. “Tip” Waring, 88, of Clearfield died Monday, Sept. 29, 2014 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Ms. Waring was born Sept. 29, 1926, the daughter of George A. and Florence E. (Moore) Waring.
She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Clearfield and the Clearfield American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She had attended the Clearfield Senior Citizens Center.
Ms. Waring is survived by two brothers, George A. Waring Jr. of Clearfield and G. Charles Waring and his wife, Laureen of Woodland; a sister, Genevieve A. “Ginger” Swanson of Woodland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Dorothy DuFour and Emily McKee; a brother, William Waring; and an infant nephew.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield, with Dr. C. Frederick Ralston officiating. Burial will be at Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Friday at the funeral home.
