Walter Mucha, 90, of Cheektowaga, NY and formerly of Munson, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014 at his residence.
Born May 28, 1924 in Munson, he was the son of the late Crist and Mary Sussek Mucha.
He was married to Elvada V. Coble Mucha on April 21, 1952 in Lockport, NY. She preceded him in death on July 22, 2001.
He’s survived by a son, Leo W. Mucha and his wife, Bridgette of Albany, NY and two daughters, Mary Barone of Orchard Park, NY and Carolyn M. Mucha of Cheektowaga, NY.
Mr. Mucha is survived by a sister, Freda Spencer of Pittsburgh and three grandchildren, Russell Barone III of Buffalo, NY, Joseph Barone of East Aurora, NY and Anthony Barone of Arcade, NY.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lyle and three brothers, William Mucha, Alfred Mucha and Charles Mucha.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Strange & Weaver Funeral Home, Morrisdale, with the Pastor Matt Mitchell officiating.
Burial will be in the Allport Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday and from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
