Carol J. Smith, 79, of DuBois died Monday, Sept. 15, 2014 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born May 23, 1935 in Reynoldsville, she was the daughter of the late Delbert and Martha (Weaver) Marshall.
She married Robert Smith in 1952. He preceded her in death in 2002.
She retired from Shop-N-Save as a cake decorator. She loved to play Bingo and she was a past member of the Sandy Hose Co. No. 1 Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children, Michael Smith and his wife, Melanie of Harrington, Del., and Richard Smith and his wife, Donna and Pam Mitchell, both of DuBois; two grandsons; two granddaughters; and one great-grandson.
She is also survived by three brothers, James Marshall of Delaware, Paul Marshall of California and Norman Marshall of Washington.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty McCracken; two brothers, Gerald and Joseph Marshall; and an infant son, Robert Smith Jr.
There will be no public visitation.
A private memorial service will be held from the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Zilhaver officiating.
