State police at DuBois
- On Saturday, state police received a report about two men who were allegedly stumbling into traffic and who were possibly intoxicated on Camp Mountain Run Road in Huston Township. Upon state police arrival to the scene, a 20-year-old DuBois man was allegedly found in possession of drug paraphernalia. The man was also found to be under the age of 21 years and to have consumed alcohol. Charges, state police said, were filed through the district court.
- An incident of simple assault occurred Sunday on Power Street in Reynoldsville Borough. During the incident, a 43-year-old Reynoldsville man allegedly struck the victim several times in the face and lower back.
State police at Philipsburg
- A hit-and-run accident occurred Sept. 12 on Dogwood Drive in Rush Township. Further, a vehicle was parked at Westminster Place when the operator of another vehicle struck its left, rear corner, causing minor damage. The operator failed to remain at the scene and to provide their information. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
- An incident of burglary/theft occurred Thursday at a second-floor apartment on North Second Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly entered the victim’s apartment and removed a men’s gold ring, which had yellow, white and blue diamonds in it. - An incident of theft by unlawful taking occurred Sept. 10 at the Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School. During the incident, someone allegedly removed the victim’s iPhone 4 from a classroom while he was substitute teaching. The phone, state police said, is valued at $150. - An incident of criminal mischief occurred Friday on Railroad Street in Rush Township. During the incident, someone allegedly threw several eggs at the victim’s residence, causing minor damage. - An incident of criminal trespass occurred Saturday on North Front Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a known suspect was allegedly found within a detached garage and under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance. He was subsequently transported to the Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment. No charges were filed at the victim’s request, state police said.
- On Saturday, someone found a wallet, which belonged to Scott Stout of Lock Haven and brought it to the Philipsburg barracks. Anyone with information on Stout is asked to contact the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
- An all-terrain vehicle was allegedly stolen sometime Friday or Saturday from a South Eagle Valley Road residence in Unionville Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly removed a 2008 Polaris Outlaw 525S from the victim’s driveway. The ATV, state police said, is red and white in color with a black seat; it has a damaged right rear hub assembly. The ATV is valued at $2,200. - An incident of harassment occurred Friday on Peppermint Lane in Huston Township. During the incident, a 20-year-old woman allegedly operated her vehicle at a high rate of speed and forced the victim off of the roadway.
- An incident of DUI occurred Saturday at the top of Centre Hall Mountain in Potter Township. Further, a 63-year-old Centre Hall man was stopped for an alleged traffic violation and arrested for DUI. Charges, state police said, are currently pending blood test results.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute on Baney Road.
- Police received a traffic complaint that occurred on the Clearfield – Shawville Highway.
- Police assisted a disabled motorist on South Second Street.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred at an area school.
- Police received a report about a business alarm on Route 879. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
- Police were requested to provide extra patrols in the area of Old Town Road.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment on Putty Road. The incident, police said, was handled without criminal charges.
- Police received a report about an accident involving a deer. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was driven from the scene, police said.
- Police received a report about a suspicious person at a business on South Second Street. Further, police were unable to locate the person.
- Police received a report about a custody issue on Clarendon Avenue.
Curwensville Borough
- Police received a report about a cellular phone that was allegedly stolen from a Pennsylvania Avenue residence on Friday.
- Police received a report about juveniles who were allegedly fighting at Irvin Park. Upon arrival police didn’t find an altercation.
- Police received a report about juveniles who were allegedly being disorderly around storage units on Meadow Street on Friday.
- Police received a barking dog complaint that occurred in the area of Clark Street. Further, police forwarded the information to animal control.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred while a man was walking his dog in the area of South Street on Saturday.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment from a South Street resident.
- Police received a report about juveniles allegedly being found near the school on Saturday night. The juveniles, police said, were ordered to leave the property.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic disturbance that occurred Friday in the first block of East Weber Avenue. Further, a couple allegedly engaged in an argument over the use of a cellular phone. It was noted by police that no charges were filed as a result of the incident.
- On Friday, several men were allegedly attempting to sell carpet cleaning services within DuBois City. Several individuals contacted police while the men were “pushy” and walked into homes. Police located the men who didn’t possess a solicitation permit and advised them to stop all solicitation within the city. Police would like to remind residents anyone who presents themselves to solicit a service should possess a permit to do so.
- Police received a report about an alarm at Kohlhepp Custom Countertops on Saturday. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
- Police received a report about an activated burglar alarm Saturday at a residence in the 100 block of South Brady Street. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident Saturday in the 100 block of South Stockdale Street. Further, a woman parked her Jeep and sometime overnight, the operator of an unknown vehicle struck it, causing damage. Police believe that the suspect vehicle may be gray in color.
- Police received a report about a Chrysler minivan being struck by an unknown vehicle while it was parked Saturday in the 400 block of Daly Street. The operator of the suspect vehicle then fled the scene.
Sandy Township
- On Friday, a 26-year-old Glen Richey woman was allegedly observed by Wal-Mart employees switching price tags on various sale items to a lower price tag. Charges, police said, are currently pending.
- On Friday, a 37-year-old Garden Grove woman reported someone slashed the tire of her sports utility vehicle while she was at church. Damage, police said, is estimated at $80.
- Police investigated a 9-1-1 hang-up call Friday at a Home Camp Road residence. Nothing suspicious was found, according to police.
- Employees of Fayette Resources reported that someone broke into the building and took a large, flat screen TV on Saturday. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- On Saturday, employees of the One Stop Convenience Shop in Treasure Lake reported that the operator of a black Chevy pumped $74.63 worth of gas and then left without paying for it. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- On Saturday, a 74-year-old Brockway woman reported hitting a deer while traveling on Route 219. It was noted by police that no injuries were reported, but the vehicle was towed from the scene.
- A 24-year-old South Brady Street woman reported that her 24-year-old ex-boyfriend took her wallet from her residence after an argument. The man fled the scene and police located him at his mother’s residence on South Brady Street. He was arrested for probation violations and taken to the Clearfield County Jail. It was noted by police that theft charges are pending against the man.
- A 57-year-old Treasure Lake woman pulled out of the Wendy’s parking lot and hit a vehicle driven by a 78-year-old Treasure Lake man on Saturday. No injuries and minor to moderate damage were reported, police said.
- On Saturday, an 18-year-old New Oxford woman reported that someone hit and damaged her vehicle while it was parked in the Wal-Mart parking lot. The operator then fled the scene.
- On Saturday, a 37-year-old Circle Road man was allegedly observed by K-Mart employees attempting to take two pair of female pants. He was allegedly hiding them in his coat and then leaving the store without paying for them.
- A Wilson Avenue resident reported that a group of juveniles were in the area Saturday and throwing rocks at houses and trespassing onto individuals’ properties. Police spoke to several of the juveniles’ parents and handled the situation without incident.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at a Treasure Lake residence on Sunday.
- Treasure Lake Security reported Sunday that someone drove through the beach and grassy area at New Providence Beach.
- On Sunday, a New Kensington man reported that someone broke into his camp, located along Mount Run Road. Nothing appeared to be missing, but there was extensive damage to the inside of the building, police said. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
- On Sunday, the manager of Bon Ton reported that someone cut the cable that operates their computer system. The cable, police said, runs along the outside of the building.
- A 14-year-old girl was at her Treasure Lake residence on Sunday when she reported that an unknown male who was dressed in black walked up and down her driveway. The man, however, was gone upon police arrival. Police searched the area but didn’t locate anyone.
- A 34-year-old South Brady Street man reported that while he was traveling on Rockton Road on Sunday, a deer ran in front of his vehicle, causing him to hit it. His vehicle sustained disabling damage, police said.
