Dean Allen Sharpless, 32, of Sandy Ridge died Friday, Sept. 5, 2014 at his home.
Born May 10, 1982 in Philipsburg, he was the son of Max A. Sharpless of Philipsburg and Rita (Cowfer) Coleman and Michael Coleman of Osceola Mills.
Mr. Sharpless was of Christian faith.
He was the Governor of the Moose No. 154 of Osceola Mills, a member of the Columbia Fire Company of Osceola Mills and the Mountain Top Fire Company of Sandy Ridge and the captain of the Osceola Mills Fire Police.
He worked for Burgmeier’s Hauling in Altoona. He was a graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola High School.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Chester Cowfer Jr.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Sharpless is survived by two brothers, Douglas R. Sharpless and his wife, Michelle of Clearfield and Daniel L. Sharpless and his fiancée, Chelsea of Morrisdale; his grandparents, Dolores Cowfer of Osceola Mills and C. Dean Sharpless and Lois Sharpless of Philipsburg; three nieces, Maddison, Raeliegh and Raleigh; a nephew, Lucas; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills with the Rev. Lee Cowfer officiating. Â Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the funeral service at the funeral home.
