Jan. 18, 1963 – Sept. 1, 2014
Jacqueline Anne “Jackie” Weinstein battled a lifelong illness that she finally succumbed to in her Emporium home.
Beloved daughter of Rose M. and Martin E. Koch of Ridgway and the oldest of three children, she’s survived by her brother, Robert Hildebrandt and sister, Suzanne Glass. She’s also survived by nieces, Jessica Hildebrandt, Dorothy Celli and Mardi Celli and a nephew, Thomas Celli.
She was the heart-bound companion and wife of 27 years to Larry Weinstein of Chicago, Ill. and with whom she raised her crown jewels of her life, sons, Robert “Cody” Mathis and Justin Weinstein. She’s survived by her husband and sons, as well as a daughter-in-law, Jami Mathis and a granddaughter, “Lady Bug” Bristol Mathis.
She was a great traveler and native to the spirit Earth. She made her home in California, Texas, Illinois, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alaska, Georgia, Florida and Pennsylvania and found close friends to care for as family in every state.
Although not affiliated with any church, she held faith as a Christian Jew and shared the love of Christ through elaborate cooking and caring for those close to her. Her loss is felt deeply by family and friends across the United States.
In lieu of gifts or flowers, the family asks that you make donations in her name to the Johnsonburg Public Library, 520 Market St., Johnsonburg, PA 15845. Cards can be received at P.O. Box 184, Johnsonburg, PA 15845.
