UNIVERSITY PARK — Registration is now open for a series of grant-writing workshops to be hosted this fall by the Penn State Graduate School. The workshops are intended for advanced graduate students and postdoctoral scholars.
The series will open on Sept. 3, with an introductory workshop covering the basics of grant writing, including types and sources of funding, characteristics of proposals that have been funded and general grant terminology.
Discipline-specific workshops will begin on Thursday, Sept. 18, with a workshop intended for students and scholars in the qualitative and quantitative social science fields. Registration is required for all workshops.
The introductory workshop will be held in the Board Room of the Nittany Lion Inn, on the University Park campus, and is open to all graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. This session can accommodate up to 250 attendees.
Graduate students and scholars may attend only one of the discipline-specific workshops, to be held in 102 Kern Graduate Building, as attendance is limited to 50 participants per workshop.
A complete schedule of the workshops and other details can be found on the Graduate School website and our Facebook page.
