STATE COLLEGE – Work to improve a section of Route 322 in Potter Township, Centre County, will continue the week of Aug. 25. The project stretches for about 1.5 miles, beginning at the Harley Davidson dealership and ending at the Taylor Hill Road intersection.
Once the project completes this fall, travel along this section of Route 322 will feature sight distance improvements and intersection improvements at Wagner and Taylor Hill roads.
Starting Monday, work will be done on the right side of the eastbound lane, including paving and adjustments to driveways. Crews will also demolish a building so that a curve in the roadway can be straightened.
Drivers should expect short delays. All work is weather and schedule dependent. PennDOT will issue project updates as work details change.
Overall project work includes construction of a center turn lane, sight distance and intersection improvements, roadway paving, drainage and guide rail upgrades, pavement markings, and miscellaneous items. H.R.I. Inc. of State College is the contractor on this $4.9 million project.
